CBC Redefines 9/11 – Mainstream Outrage a Strawman

Inverness Oran: 16 September, 2026

Mainstream media outrage over the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s recent description of 9/11 as something other than a terror attack may be due to their ideological perspective.

This ideological view of terrorism is implied but unstated, leaving interpretation to the audience who are assumed to perceive terrorism as violent resistance to the conduct of their own and allied governments.

The 9/11 attacks marked the first time Americans had suffered the sort of mass violence their government has long inflicted on resource-rich but poorly armed nations. Unfortunately, the massive U.S. military response to 9/11 became a gift to those eager to use irregular tactics against America’s interests and allies.

9/11 became the excuse for the illegal U.S. invasion of Iraq and its ongoing theft of oil profits. America’s clumsy aggression inspired legions of Islamic radicals to enter Iraq, thus creating the conditions for the rise of the Islamic state, ISIS and other violent groups in Iraq, Syria and elsewhere.

Predictably, the cynical rehabilitation of former U.S. enemies is well underway as leading MAGA figures like Rudy Juliani simultaneously attempt to link New York mayor Mandani to the 9/11 attackers. Nine-eleven era mayor Juliani must be angered by Mandani’s timely release of a damning document trove showing that city, state and federal officials knowingly authorized the public’s return to work in contaminated areas.

9/11 survivors must now endure the spectacle of President Trump’s cozy relationship with Syrian leader Jolani, a former Al Qaeda leader installed as an American proxy to protect Israeli interests. Worse still is Trump’s removal of other top Al Qaeda figures from America’s designated terrorist list just days before September 11. The Trump regime’s indifference to the memory of 9/11 victims is a nauseating example of crude realpolitik.

Judging by recent developments, the United States and its allies have learned nothing from the horrors of 9/11.
